Children Day Care - Bluebell Nursery MarchAt Bluebell Day Nursery your children are very important to us. We believe that they should feel happy and secure at all times. To that end we will endeavour to provide a stimulating and guided environment in which the children can socialise, learn, play and thrive.

All members of our staff are committed to caring for young children and have many years of training and experience behind them.

We want to assure you that when you leave your children in our care you can be completely at ease. We know that it is vital for you to feel confidence in your choice of childcare so we will do all we can to let you know exactly how we intend to look after your children.

Childcare Day NurseryWe aim to provide a happy homely environment with a caring atmosphere in which children will enjoy their play, their learning, their friends, their home cooked food and their rest!!

There is room indoors and out for varied activities with a wide range of safe play equipment and educational toys.

We have everything your child needs to encourage relaxed learning of basic concepts and more when it is appropriate. Sociability, participation, imaginative play, creativity and communication will be encouraged and nurtured.

We also provide areas for rest and sleep as required by the individual child. We will discuss your child's patterns and needs with you and tailor our provision to match those individual needs.

Child Day Nurseries CambridgeshireWe are registered for fifteen children and there is an excellent staff/child ratio for all ages. As prospective parents you are welcome to visit the nursery and members of staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Once you have made the decision to join us, we invite you to come and spend some time with your child at the nursery if you are able to do so.

We also spend some time with you discussing your child's needs and ensuring that all the necessary documentation is completed.

Following our most recent Ofsted inspection we were awarded a grading of GOOD. Our aim for the next inspection is to become 'outstanding'!

Areas of Development for Children

Bluebell Day Nursery plans activities to promote the learning and development of all children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Guidance. The curriculum is designed to cater for each child's individual needs encouraging them to develop and progress:

Personal, Social and Emotional Development - children learn to play, co-operate and work with adults and other children outside the family unit. Through play and practical activities we hope to encourage.

Communication, Language and Literacy Development -children should become more confident in speaking and listening so that pre-reading and writing skills may be developed. When children are in the company of attentive adults they develop the ability to listen and communicate using their ever increasing vocabulary and language. They are able to listen and respond to sounds and become able to name and sound the letters of the alphabet.

Blubells Day Nursery - Our Aims
  • Provide a happy, homely, secure and safe environment for children to learn through play based activities in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Guidance
  • Support the child in developing good relationships with other children and adults
  • Be sensitive and respectful of each child's individual needs
  • Provide stimulating surroundings to encourage children's eagerness to learn
  • Encourage the children to gain new skills through structured play and age and ability based challenges. The children are encouraged to explore in a safe and supervised way. Any possible dangers are explained to them and they are guided away from taking unacceptable risks
  • Encourage children to develop their own independence and self discipline
  • Support children with the various transitions they may face, whether this be
moving rooms within the nursery, going to pre-school or school

Meals
Children Day CareNursery

Snack and meal times are intended to be social occasions where the children are able to sit together and enjoy each other's company. The children eat their snacks and main meals in their base rooms. The exception to this being breakfast which is eaten in the Messy Room by all nursery children.

Our Seedlings children sit together for snacks at set times whereas the Flowertots children have a 'rolling' snack where they are able to choose when they come to prepare their own snacks and then go back to their free play session afterwards.

All our meals are home made and are cooked fresh daily in the nursery kitchen by our cook who holds the appropriate Food Hygiene Certificate. The children are offered milk and water to drink. Water is available throughout the day.

Where children have specific dietary requirements, such as food intolerances or religious beliefs, our menu can be adapted to cater for these, or, parents may, if they wish, provide their own food.
